Parking ticket

So I got a parking ticket last night.  Technically MSO Kate got the ticket, but I convinced her that she was far enough in from the corner.

Officer West, Badge No. 02-018, didn't agree.

Oh well, it's not my first parking ticket, and it won't be my last, I'm sure. Actually, my first parking ticket came in the mail, in the form of a Third and Final Notice (which added $135 to a $15 ticket).  I never saw the ticket, didn't get a Second Notice of any sort, and then got a Third and Final Notice six months after the supposed incident.  Luckily, when I fought it, the late fees and court costs were thrown out, and I paid $15.

So this time, I am paying the fine right away to avoid any chance of "significant late fees" being added and having to go to Philly's court again.  I did learn a lesson, but that lesson was apparently not the correct way to park on Philadelphia streets.  I'm still a bit fuzzy on that.

That sucks! but MSO Kate should have known better than to trust you, Mr. Repeat Offender, for Philly parking advice. I bet she's learned a lesson from this too...

I am sorry for your ticket. was a fun night though! I still think the park job was legal enough. If it makes you feel better, each and every time I go to Manayunk, I get a ticket. They are not cheap anymore!
