[video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exOxUAntx8I 425x344] For most sports fans, this won't need any explanation, just awe and wonderment. I can't stop watching it. (Kissing Suzy Kolber via Deadspin)

I'm proposing a new game for the Muskoxen. I'm calling it the Muskoxen Greatest Distance Blog (MGDB) just for the sake of the tag (we can change that later). The idea is to see who can blog from the farthest away. As it happens, I'm currently in Denver for Val's grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. Val reminded me that Vince is currently in Hawaii, and could beat me. But, I'm betting that he won't write in from there. Yay me! ***Add-on:

I'm sitting here watching a new TV show on Animal Planet called Stranger Among Bears. I'd seen a news story done on this guy several months ago and I guess it's such an unbelievable story that people are clamoring for more. Charlie Vandergaw lives in a remote part of Alaska outside of Anchorage and welcomes bears (both of Black and Grizzly varieties) to his home as family. He names them, talks to them, pets them, smacks them when they nip at him, feeds them out of his hand, lays with them, wrestles with them and the only protection he has is a stick. He's done this for more than 20 years, and has seen several generations of bear families come through his home. You can read all about it and see pictures and videos on the Animal Planet's website here: http://animal.discovery.com/tv/stranger-among-bears/ As a nature lover, I'm completely enthralled and suggest that you all check this out if you get a chance. even if you're not a nature lover, I'd imagine you'll be amazed watching this show.

Dear Muskoxen,
I'm concerned about the switch to digital television coming up. I only get TV over the air, and missed out on the government vouchers for a converter box. What should I do? Signed, Nubbins Television

In my blog post earlier this week I completely omitted the fact that the UFC has a PPV event this Saturday (June 13). The event is in Germany, so the live broadcast is at 3PM ET, with a rebroadcast at 10PM ET. I'd like to take this time to offer my opinions/predictions of the fight card. Feel free to agree, disagree or bite me. The full fight card (including fights that may not be televised) can be seen on the UFC's official page, here:

Check it (but don't expect too much): [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94qCoLdpRIQ 425x344] I would have been highly impressed had there been a cow floating around in there, but when you get to the money shot, all you see is a light bouncing around on the top of the car (although it is cool how it lands right back on the top of the truck because of the magnet). I know you can't expect too much because they're actually inside of a tornado, but I think it's reasonable to ask for a shot a little better than that. I mean, at least deploy DOROTHY.

To all of you who don’t already know, the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) is like the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) little brother for all intents and purposes. The WEC caters to fighters smaller in stature, but definitely not lesser in talent. They have world class fighters and great fight cards, and the best part of all is that its fight cards are broadcast for free on the Vs. network (and in HD where available). The only difference (besides the fact that it’s lesser known than the UFC and price tag) is the weight classes. The WEC has fighters in three weight classes: Bantamweight - 135 lbs. or less, Featherweight – over 135 lbs. to 145 lbs., and Lightweight - over 145 lbs. to 155 lbs. Whereas the UFC’s weight classes start at Lightweight - over 145 lbs. to 155 lbs. and goes to Welterweight - over 155 lbs. to 170 lbs., then to Middleweight - over 170 lbs. to 185 lbs., then Light Heavyweight – over 185 lbs. to 205 lbs., and finally to the big boys of the Heavyweight division - over 205 lbs. to 265 lbs.
I’m sick of hearing people saying that the WEC fighters are wannabe UFC fighters, or that they’re “not good enough” to fight in the UFC. It’s not that at all – they’re just too little. For those of us in the know, however, we were recently blessed with a great fightcard from the WEC.

I'm no movie critic, but I watch a lot of them and I think I have a pretty good idea of what's good (Napoleon Dynamite and Talladega Nights spring immediately to mind) and what sucks (It's Pat, The Movie - I never saw this, but I can guarantee it sucks). I know what's funny and what's not, trust me. I'm not going to go into any spoilers, or ruin anything, but I am going to tell you that if you've read anything on this website and it's made you laugh or even crack a smile, then you owe it to yourself to go and see this movie. It's right up your alley. The Muskoxen and the MSO's, sans MSO Jess, converged on a theater in Columbia, MD today for a group viewing of this movie (and to celebrate my birthday), and I think I speak for the group when I give it the official Muskoxen stamp of approval. Whatever that may be. Anyway, go see this movie. Now. Seriously, stop reading and go already. You won't regret it. And make sure to stay through the credits... :) Why are you still reading - get to a theater.

Check it out, a guy in Florida is suing a strip club after a stripper "permanently injured" him after kicking him without warning. Geoff, maybe you should have sued after the bloody nose. Man claims stripper permanently injured him - WPTV West Palm Beach
